Exhibition to mark the 10th anniversary of the InciDanse group.
In consonance with the Choreographic wanderings shows held during the Arthémiades festival, the exhibition Insights into choreographic language: Delphine SAVEL – Gilles AGUILAR will be showcased in INSA Lyon’s Marie-Curie Library.
The exhibition brings the synopses of Delphine Savel’s various choreographic creations face to face with a selection of photos taken by Gilles Aguilar during the shows. A retrospective of views of dancing bodies shared over the past 10 years, telling the story of the convergence between a teacher cum choreographer cum dancer and a photographer. At the same time, the exhibition raises the following questions: what are the crossovers between a photographic eye and a choreographic language. What are the approaches of the unique and authentic artistic statements?
Exhibition opening times: from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday) and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Saturday).
Created as an extension of INSA’s Dance SA, the InciDanse group gives students the chance to discover contemporary dance. The technical classes, led by Delphine Savel, teach students to shape their bodies according to the “Graham Technique” – a modern dance movement style created by Martha Graham — whereas the choreography workshops give them the chance to exchange ideas and come up with collective creations. In 2017, for the ninth year running, InciDanse was awarded first place in the Créa’Danse national choreography competition between Grandes Ecoles by a professional dance panel.
