Réparer l'homme

29 September 2017

Polytech Lyon, campus LyonTech-la Doua, Villeurbanne
Réparer l'homme INSA

Comparative views on an emblematic topic at the University of Lyon.

The aim of this event is to bring together the scientific community in the Lyon/Saint-Etienne area to forge or consolidate links and encourage interaction between disciplines, laboratories and training courses. It is being organized by 3 academic colleges of the University of Lyon: ”Life and Health Sciences”, “Engineering and Technology” and “Education, Cognition, Language”.

Four topics will be addressed during plenary lectures in the morning and brainstorming workshops in the afternoon:
- Cognitive and language deficits
- Repairing movement
- Repair or regeneration?
- Assistance with surgical procedures

These lines of thought tie in fully with the “General Health and Bioengineering” challenge, one of the five major social challenges upon which INSA Lyon’s research is currently structured.

The resulting discussions should help to strengthen or give rise to collaborative projects or joint initiatives (training and research), not forgetting to look towards IDEX’s Cross Disciplinary Programs. They will identify the challenges that the community is capable of tackling and the requirements needed to meet them: new platforms, recruitment, training offering, scientific activities, creation of new teams.

Registration is mandatory and free of charge. Sign up on the event’s website by September 22, 2017.
